Mrs. Bertha Adams Dies Tuesday p.m.
Mrs. Bertha Hays Adams, 75, of Lincoln, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday. She had been ill for some time. The body was taken to the Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta. She was born Jan. 25, 1864, at Oskaloosa, the daughter of George W. and Ruth Fulfer Hays. She was married to Ray Adams on Oct. 2, 1920 at Bloomington and he died April 5, 1955.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Irma Jean Adams Pyle, Tucson, Ariz.; three stepchildren, Helen Adams Proctor, Greensboro, N.C.; Harold K. Adams, of Normal, Ill.; Merlin D. Adams, Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hattie McGuire, Lincoln. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
