Conemaugh Township
Larry M. Bivens, 65, of Conemaugh Township, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in Excela Health Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Oct. 15, 1940, in Wood, Pa., he was the son of the late Doyle and Mona M. (Gutshall) Bivens.
He lived in Hyattsville, Md., for 39 years, previously residing in Saltsburg. A U.S. Army veteran, he served from December 1958 until February 1962, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a member of the Saltsburg American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna L. (Saldana) Bivens; son Tracy A., McConnellsburg; daughters, Lori A. Brown, Pasadena, Md., and Bonnie S., Hyattsville, Md.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Delores M. Barnett, of Silver Spring, Md.
Services were held Saturday in the Curran Funeral Home, Saltsburg with the Rev. Mary Ann Milne officiating. Burial was in Iselin Union Cemetery.
