A resident of Wolverine since 1932, Bud was born April 9, 1918 in Detroit, the son of Edward and Gertrude (Sloat) Hahn.
He served in the Army Air Corp in Puerto Rico and Cuba during World War II. He was had been employed as a mechanic by the Miller Oil Company in Wolverine, and was a machinist at Link Products in Indian River, and Standard Products (Georgia Pacific) in Gaylord, retiring in 1980.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post in Wolverine, was a volunteer fireman, and enjoyed yard work and gardening, and excelled at mechanical problem solving, and was able to fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and two brothers, Ernest and Edward Hahn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 1:00pm – 3:00 pm, at the Christian Funeral Home in Cheboygan. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, also at the funeral home. His burial will be a Silver Lake Cemetery in Wolverine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
