Charles Novak Died Unexpectedly Tuesday

Charles Novak, 80, who has lived 10 miles southwest of Blue Hill for 72 years died suddenly, Tuesday, April 23. He was born in Czechoslovakia on October 26, 1882.

Surviving him are his wife, Lucille, three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Jennings, Elgin, Nebr; Mrs. Harold Bentz, Blue Hill; Mrs. Elwyn Lamb, Great Bend, Kansas; one son, Charles L. Novak, Great Bend, Kan.; one brother, Louis Novak, Hastings: three sisters, Mrs. Anna Boom, Bladen; Mrs. Guy Douglas, Hastings; and Mrs. Josephine, Kempkes, Wyandotte, Mich. One daughter preceded him in death.

Services will be held at the Merten-Butler Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26 with the Rev. Frank Bartleson officiating. Interment will be in Plainview cemetery.
