Elizabeth "Lizzie" Halleck White, daughter of James Halleck and Mary Gleason, was born 13 Oct 1858 near Manteno, Kankakee County, Illinois, she married John Edward White 23 Sep 1880 Manteno, Kankakee County, IL. Lizzie and John were the parents of twelve boys and one girl: Thomas C. White, John E. White, James E. "Ted" White, Benjamin White, Abraham White, Allen G. White, Gregory A. White, Harry G. White, William White, Raymond White, David White, and Violet Mary White. Four of the boys died in infancy: Thomas, Benjamin, Abraham, and David. Lizzie died 9 Dec 1917 at her home in DeMotte, at the age of fifty-nine from pneumonia and heart trouble.
