BOSSIER PARISH, LA - Service for Carrie Goodwin (Akins) Salter, 92, will be held, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 21; 2000, at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel; Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Dye; Pastor of Central Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bose-Neath Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Bossier Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday.
She died on Saturday, November 18, 2000. Mrs. (Akins) Salter was a resident of Bossier and Caddo Parishes most of her lite.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nonie P. Akins; son, Clyde P. Akins; Sr.; father and mother; one sister and one brother.
Survivors are one son, James Akins, Sr. and wife, Marian; daughters in-law, Marjorie Akins; several grand children, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She leaves behind rnany friends and relatives.
Pallbearers are Perry Akins, Nicholas Akins, Jimrny Akins, Richard Akins, Ralph Cade and Clifton Engi.
