Born in Columbus, Ohio on 5 Mar 1952. Hometown was Newark, Ohio. He graduated from Heath High School in 1970 and was elected as "The Most Likely to Succeed". He entered the Air Force in August 1970 and was admited to the United States Air Force Academy as a member of the Class of 1975, on 5 Jul 1971. He was a member of Ninth Squadron.

Full military rites for Robert K. Howard, 19, of 233 Indianhead Dr., Heath, will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Egan Funeral Home with the Rev. James Foster officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The youth died Sunday near Eagle's Nest, New Mexico, of undisclosed causes. He was born March 8, 1952 in Columbus.
Mr. Howard was a cadet at the U.S. Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo, where he had enrolled in July. He joined the Air Force in August 1970, following his June graduation from Heath High School.
Surviving are his parents, Calvin C. and Nina Yuenger Howard, two brothers, Steven of Ft Worth, Tex, and Gary of the home, a sister, Linda of the home.
