A gathering time for family and friends of Vivian Zullo, 86, of Clifton, formerly of the Kankakee area, will be from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. Monday until the 10 a.m. funeral service, all at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes.

Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the family wishes. She died Monday (Dec. 21, 2009) at the Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton, IL.

Vivian was a bookkeeper for Taylor Transfer and for Kresge dime store in Kankakee. In 1964, she began working at Bradley Chiropractic as a therapist, until her retirement in 1974.
She was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Bourbonnais Township, the daughter of Earl and Hermaine Schroeder Lane.
She graduated from Kankakee High School in 1941. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was the organist and pianist for eight years. Some of Vivian's favorite things were camping, traveling, playing the organ and piano, working on crossword puzzles, watching gameshows, playing scrabble and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Surviving are her husband, Leodoro Zullo, whom she married May 19, 1945; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ramona and Michael Lacey of Kankakee, Phyllis Zullo of Rock Island; and her two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sandy Zullo of Bourbonnais, John and Joy Zullo of San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving are her two sisters, Joanne Goodell of Peoria, Carol and John Beauvais of Naples, Fla.; her grandchildren, Kelly Lacey Zullo, Michelle Lacey, Christy and Scott Zullo-Pias, Jamie and Jeremy Zullo Shoup, Gia Zullo, Connie and Nicholas Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Abagail, Lydia and Noah Davis, and Jace Pias.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanche and Thomas Malmer, Dorothy and Orville Palmer.
