From the Westford [Mass.] Wardsman, 18 March 1916
James Davidson died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mervin Steele, near Westford station, last Saturday morning, aged 79 years, 5 months, 14 days. He was a resident of Quebec, Canada, until the death of his wife two years ago, when he came to Westford to live with his daughter. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Mervin Steele of Westford, Mrs. Joseph McCoombs of North Chelmsford, and a daughter in Quebec. He was a man apparently of quiet bearing, made more so by illness which had prevented any wide acquaintance in town. The funeral was from the home of his daughter on Monday, Rev. David Wallace conducting the service. The body was sent to Canada for burial.
