Stephen Carroll Sumrall, 50, of Ovett, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday , Jan. 26, at the Chapel of Memory Chapel with burial in Antioch Cem. The Rev. Wayne Blackledge will officiate.
Mr. Sumrall was a retired oilfield worker and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Leon Sumrall and Ella and Chuck Lewis.
Survivors include his parents, Pat and Billie Dean Sumrall of Ovett; brothers, Tony and Tim Sumrall of Ovett; and dearly-loved aunts, Anne Lewis Mary Waltman and Ontee Welborn, both of Laurel.
Pallbearers will be Mike Sumrall, Geoffrey Landrum, David Barry, Chuck Griffith, David Smith, and Stan Sumrall. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Carr and Terry Gray.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. this evening at Memory Chapel, which is charge of the arrangement.
