William Dalton, son of James Andrew and Margaret Foster Dalton, was born in Wayne County, Massilon Township on September 11, 1885, and departed this life on September 5, 1949 in the Herrin Hospital at the age of 63 years, 11 months and 24 days.
On September 10, 1910 he was united in marriage to Bessie Yeast. To this union was born one son, Orous Elmo Dalton of Fairfield, and a daughter, Margaret Dalton Kinder, of Henderson, Ky.
Surviving are his widow, a son, daughter, daughter in law, son in law, a sister, Mrs. William Hayes of Iuka, two half brothers, Thomas Anspach of Centralia, John Anspach of Iuka, and a half sister Mrs. Bessie Hurt of Fredrick, Md.
Funeral services were conducted at the Elm River Baptist church on September 7 th at 2 p.m. by Rev. Roy Collins. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery at Fairfield
