Obit: Dones Eugene Bumgardner, 88, of Appleton City, formerly of Lebanon, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Heartland of Willow Lane in Butler. He was born May 20, 1921, to George and Vicy (Cheek) Bumgardner, at Ira, Mo. and lived most of his life in Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Tressy, Joseph, Mary, David, James and Allen. On Dec. 4, 1960, he married Edna Louise Kelsay. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Appleton City. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Edna Bumgardner; nieces Pauline McGuire and Judy Norton, both of Rayville, and other relatives. Services for Dones Eugene Bumgardner will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Hill & Son Funeral Home in Appleton City with the Rev. Tony Reynolds of-ficiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. A memorial for the family has been established.
