Arne Moen 1861-1928

Arne Hendrickson Moen, farmer of Minerva township, passed away suddenly yesterday (Wednesday) morning at 10:30 o'clock, death being due to heart failure.
Mr. Moen was born October 14th, 1861 at Solar, Norway. Forty years ago he came to the United States and he has been a residnet of Clearwater County for 29 years.
In 1888 Mr. Moen was united in marriage to Miss G. Martinson. To this union six children were born. They are: Mrs. Amon Kloster, Sharon, North Dakota, Mrs. G.W. Ruth, Scobey, Montana, Mrs. W.E. Gilchrist, Scobey, Montana, Helm and Oscar who live at home.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, Rev. A. Sorenson officiating and H.C. Peterson, funeral director.
Mr. Moen was a member of the Minerva congregation of the Norwegian Lutheran church. He was a well liked citizen, always upright and honest in all his dealings and the community suffers the loss of one of its best citizens in the death of Mr. Moen.
