Funeral services will be conducted Thursday (today) at 1:00 in the Ashley LDS Stake Center for Archie F. Allen, 77, of Vernal who died Monday at the Uintah County Hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Allen was born June 15, 1890 in Moab to Orin Daniel and Annie Bindrup Allen. He married Hazel Johnson September 26, 1909 in Vernal.
He was a farmer and stockman and a member of the Ashley Valley Resevoir Association and the LDS Church.
Survivors include his widow, sons and daughters, Floyd and Keith, both of Vernal; Merle, Whiterockks; Mrs. Herman (Neva) Bingham, Mrs. W. M/ (Andre) Williamson, both of Vernal; Mrs. Karl (Norma) Roberts, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Lorin (Naomi) Hardison, Chico, California; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marion, Ezra, Edgar, Marinda Hall and Mary Hacking, all of Vernal.
Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary today prior to services. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery.
