Dorothy E. Thomas, 85, Defiance, died Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born July 31, 1924, in Ayersville, Ohio, the daughter of Ira and Mabel (Beindorf) Linebrink. On Aug. 31, 1946, she married Robert E. Thomas, who survives. She was a homemaker and owner/manager of the Dairy Twist, Defiance. She was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church.

Also surviving are two sons, Phillip (Toni) Thomas of Ney, Ohio, and Larry (Janis) Thomas, Defiance; a daughter, Ann (Gary) Heater, Ney; two brothers, Clarence (Diane) Linebrink of Defiance and Gerald (Ann) Linebrink, Defiance; a sister, Virginia Buff, Defiance; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Dick Linebrink, and Marvin Linebrink in infancy.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Zion's Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance.
