New York Times 8 June 1919 "David, a civil war veteran and for many years custodian of books in the Tax Department and later in the Commissioner of Records Office, died in the Veteran Soldier's Home at Bath, NY. Mr Harned was in his 90th year and for 60 years a resident of Brooklyn, where he was active in Republican politics."
David and Anne Harned had three children Walter, Carrie and Jennie Harned. David's occupation was bookbinder. He and his family can be found in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census.
