FRANKLIN/RICHFORD -- Audrey L. Taylor, age 77, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. She was born in Burlington, Feb. 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Clifford J. and Beatrice (Wells) Shangraw.

She moved to Richford in 1976, and for the past two years she made her home in Franklin at the Carriage House. She was a 1943 graduate of Burlington High School and was employed at S.S.. Kresge in Burlington for 10 years. She then married Michael F. Taylor on Nov. 18, 1952, at which time she devoted her time to raising her family. Audrey was an avid gardener.

She is survived by four sons and their wives, Michael F. Taylor II of Burlington, Timothy and Lorraine Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colo., Stephen and Donna Taylor of Williston, S.C., and Patrick and Karen Taylor of Evans, Ga.; two daughters and their husband, Katie and Robert St. Pierre, and Janet and Ronald West, all of Richford; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers and their wives, Everett and Pat Shangraw of St. Charles, Mo., and Richard and Kathy Shangraw of Roswell, N.M.; three sisters, Virginia Pendriss of Colchester, Janet Yendrezeski of Travares, Fla. and Patricia Delaney of Cape Coral, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Peter Taylor of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one sister-in-law, Sheila DeGrasse of Palmetto, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael F. Taylor, on April 14, 2002.

Interment in Lakeview Cemetery in Burlington.
