James E. Moore, 92, well known Spraggs R. D. farmer and stock raiser, died at his home Friday, Aug. 29, 1952, at 3 p.m., after a long illness.

He was born April 28, 1860, in Wayne Township, a son of George and Louisa Phillips Moore and had lived all his life in the Brock community. His wife, the former Mary Vandruff, preceded him in death ten years ago.

Surviving are four children, Miss Eva Moore, at home; Mrs. Jesse (Pearle) Fox, Waynesburg R. D. 3; Austin, Carrollton, O., and Arvell Moore, Spraggs R. D. One sister, Mrs. Margaret Powell, of Spraggs, and three brothers, Peter Moore of Blacksville, W. Va.; Jobe Moore of Waynesburg R. D. 3, and L. E. Moore of Spraggs, also survive as do 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church at Brock.
