MARY JESSIE BOONE CECIL, 83, of New Haven, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at her residence. She was a retired cook for St. Catherine School at New Haven, where she was employed for 24 years. She was a native of Nelson County, a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and Altar Society and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Victor Ivo and Mary Willie Watson Boone. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael J. Cecil and Andrea Cecil; a son, Jesse Louis Cecil; four sisters, Elizabeth Boone, Willie Sweat, Louise Sweat and Stella Hall; and five brothers, David Boone, Felix Boone, Miles Boone, Cripps Boone and Ivo Boone. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Anne Crowe of Bardstown; three sons, Donnie and Jerry Cecil, both of New Haven, and Ed Cecil of Owensboro; two sisters, Kathleen Hagan of New Haven and Alberta Boone of Howardstown; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in New Hope. The concelebrants are Fr. Lawrence Lindle and Fr. Tom Hommrich. Burial will be in St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery at New Haven.
