Charles Henry Valentine,
age 87, of Fostoria, died
Tuesday, March 10, 1981 at
the Veterans Administration
Medical Center in Saginaw,
Charles Valentine was
born Sept. 25, 1893 at Fostoria,
the son of Henry and Jane
(Gummerson) Valentine. He
married Esther Farrar on
June 18, 1919 in Fostoria and
she passed away Nov. 15,
1972. He was' a lifetime
resident of Watertown Township,
was retired from Fisher
Body in Flint and hat) also
been a farmer. Mr. Valentine
was a member of the Fostoria
United Methodist Church
and (he Coronado Shuffle
Board Club in New Smyrna
Beach, Fla. He served in the
Army in Germany during
Worid War I
Survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. Mollis (Jeanne)
Schell of Lapeer; two sons,
Thomas and Harry both of
Fostoria. 6 grandchildren, 5
great grandchildren and a
sister Mrs. Anna Parshall of
Marlette. Three brothers and
five.sisters predeceased him.
Funeral services will be
held Fri.. March 13 at the
Blackmore and Tubbs Chapel
at 2 p.m. Rev. Dale Brown
will officiate and burial will
be at Watertown Cemetery.
