WISNER -- Robert Garnier Berry, a retired mechanic for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, died Friday. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at South Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Robert Garnier Berry, 81, of Wisner, LA will be held at South Central Baptist Church on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. T. J. Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Robert Berry was born September 28, 1928 in Wisner, LA and passed away Friday December 18, 2009 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro. He was a retired mechanic for the LA Dept of Transportation, and a member of the South Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in Death by:
Father-Samuel Lee Berry
Mother-Molly (Tines) Berry
1st wife-Lillie Edna Perkins
2 sisters-Gertrude Berry Fradella and Betty Jean Berry
Brother-Samuel Austin Berry

The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2009.
