Mr. Best was born in Brookville, June 4, 1876, and in 1907 married Mrs. Lillian Elbert.
He was a member of the Methodist church, of Remington; the Modern Woodmen and the Knights of Pythias lodge.
Mr. Best was to have received a twenty-five year membership jewel award from the Knights of Pythias tonight however, the jewel was placed beside his body.
Surviving are the wife; a son, William; and a step-son, Earl Elbert, both of here; and two brothers: Edward, of Connersville; and George, of LaureL
