June Rodenbeck died Sunday in Shepherd of the Hill nursing home, Kendallville. She was born November 1, 1917 in Garrett to J.P.F. and Bertha Mary (Hart) Bertsch. On February 13, 1943 in Jacksonville, Fla., she married Dale E. Stockton, who died in military action on July 25, 1944 at Normandy, France. On August 31, 1950 in Kendallville she married Carl W. Rodenbeck. He died October 15, 1976. A lifetime resident of Kendallville, she had worked as a secretary for McCray Refrigeration and Kraft Foods. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 240 Auxiliary, VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary, McCray Hospital Auxiliary and Lady Elks. Surviving are a sister, Phyllis Hicks of Zephyrhills, Fla., and a brother, Robert of Kendallville. She was preceded in death also by a sister, Mary Ann Haynes. Funeral Thursday in Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home. Burial, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
