HALIFAX -- Sheila M. Scheidler Reese, 49, of 1405 N. River Road died Thursday [11 February 1999] in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.


She was a teacher in the Greenwood School District; a member of the Halifax Area School Board; a graduate of the former Millersburg High School, the former Mansfield State College and Shippensburg University; a life member of the Greenwood, Pennsylvania State and National education associations and of VFW Auxiliary Unit 5507, Millersburg; an FHA member and adviser and a director of the Pennsylvania State FHA/HERO; a local and state 4-H adviser and member; a former Girl Scout; and a member of Valley's United Church of Christ, the American Business Women's Association, the American and Pennsylvania associations of Family & Consumer Services, and the Pennsylvania School Boards Association.

Surviving are her husband, Gerald W. Reese; two sons, David A. and Jon E., both of Halifax; her mother, Esther Klinger Scheidler of Millersburg; a brother, Dean M. Scheidler of Elizabethville; and a sister, Debra L. Dudley of Selbyville, Del.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in her church. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Millersburg.

Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church.

Reinhard Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, P.O. Box 266, Enola 17025, or her church, Halifax 17032.
