Findagrave contributor Karen Gelley notes the following correction of the birthdate on the headstone and obit:

I came across Elizabeth's birth registration which is for the registration quarter Jan/Feb/Mar 1838, and if she was born on January 15, 1837 she wouldn't have been registered in the first quarter of 1838.

Details of the birth record are Elizabeth Hockey, Reg Year: 1838; Reg Qtr: Jan-Feb-Mar; Reg District: Chard; Inferred County: Somerset; Volume: 10; Page: 351.

Her birthdate of 15 Jan 1838 is also on her baptism register in Westbury, Somerset.
