Eugene D. Jones, 88, of Dix died at 2:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Doctors Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. He was born on Nov. 27, 1921, in Iuka, son of James Orin Jones and Lillie Peters. He married Pearline Mills and she preceded him in death on July 6, 1999.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; an infant child, Aubrey; and two brothers, Gary and Harold Jones.
Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army veteran and was a machinist at Burgess-Norton in Geneva.
