Funeral services for Andrew F. Dibble, age 49, of 410 Lincoln Ave., Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery in the Spring. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 19 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Mr. Dibble passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.
Mr. Dibble is survived by his father and mother, Lila and Everett Dibble, Ogdensburg; three sisters, Sally Hughes and her companion, Donald Kerr, Ogdensburg, Marlene Clark and her husband, Earl, Ogdensburg, and Kimberly Kerr and her husband, Douglas; one brother, Everett Dibble, Jr. and his wife, Debra, Claremont, NH; a brother, Kevin Dibble and his wife, Rose, Gouverneur; a half brother, George LaBaff and his wife, Jackie, Madrid; a half sister, Linda Terrance and her husband, Pete, Ogdensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Dibble is predeceased by his biological mother, Gladys Sawatis.
Mr. Dibble was born in Ogdensburg on November 12, 1960, the son of Gladys Sawatis and Everett Dibble, Sr. He graduated from New York City Columbia College with a nursing degree. He worked for a time for Belleview Hospital in NYC and also the VA Hospital in NYC. At one time, he was featured in an article in Better Homes and Gardens for his floral abilities. He loved gardening and doing floral work.
He will be sadly missed by his cat, Lil Bit.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Act Now Program at Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation.
