She was born Feb. 23. 1892. at Lewisburg. W. Va., a daughter of Christopher and Martha Smith Cohemour.

She was married to James R. Phipps Nov. 23, 1914, at Watseka. He died March 26, 1969.

Surviving are a son, Lloyd, Urbana : a brother. Lewis Cohernour, Cleveland. Ohio; a sister. Miss Roxie Cohernour, Paxton; and a granddaughter

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth.
