Kenneth "Ted" P. McDaniel, resident of Shawn Manor Nursing Home, died Friday April 16, 1999. He was 72. Masonic graveside rites were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Arrangements were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City. Born April 10, 1927 in Sapulpa, he was the son of Payton and Thelma (Ruhl) McDaniel. He grew up in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1945. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his discharge from the service in 1948, he married Lillian L. Mason in Sapulpa. Mr. McDaniel attended the University of Tulsa. In 1985 he retired from the Sand Springs Railroad where he had worked as a Commercial Agent. He was a member of the Tulsa Scottish Rite 32nd Degree KCCH, the Petroleum Masonic Lodge #474 AF and AM, he was past Patron of the Brookside Chapter O.E.S., a member of the Will Clark-Tulsa Court Order of the Amaranth and a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Surviving are his wife, Lillian of the Renaissance; a brother, Pat McDaniel of Sapulpa; 1 son, Philip McDaniel of Ponca City; 2 daughters, Mrs. Pamela Teague of Memphis, TN and Ms. Patti Penhall of Chicago, IL; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 1 sister, Pauline Wilson; and 2 brothers, Leo McDaniel and Cleo McDaniel.
