Belmont-Monroe Canipe,76,former textile worker,died Sunday night at 9:45 at his home, 40 Rhyne Street, in the Perfection Mill community. He had been in declining health for sometime Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 at the home and interment will be in Goshen Cemetery.
Born in Catawba county April 12 1873,he had been in North Belmont for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife: Lillian Mae Evans,4 Sons: Garfeild, Robert, Alexander and Otto. 7 Daughters; Mesdames Dora Carpenter, Martha Cooper, Addie Ballard, Thelma Carpenter, Lovella Mull, Geneva Yarbrough, Nellie Pope. 2 Sisters: Susan Hedrick of Statesville and Barbara Hedrick of Catawba......This was published in the Gaston Gazette 31 October 1949
