BOLIVAR - Dr. Vicki H. Russell, 44, formerly of Memphis, treatment team head of the Timber Springs unit at Western Mental Health Institute, died of breast cancer Saturday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Parrans Chapel Baptist Church of Bolivar, where she was a member, with burial in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home here has charge. She was a 1980 graduate of UT Medical School in Memphis and had been a general practitioner. She was former chief of staff at Western Mental Health Institute. Mrs. Russell, the wife of Bobby D. Russell, also leaves a daughter, Julie G. Harper of Memphis; a stepdaughter, Mary Claire Russell, and a stepson, Robert Roy Russell, both of Troy; her mother, Victoria Hamilton of Memphis; a sister, Debbie Ann Wheeler of Olive Branch, Miss.; a brother, W. T. Hamilton Jr. of Germantown, and a stepgrandchild. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Memphis Cancer Center Foundation. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 1/6/1997)
