Thomas C. Burns, 79, of Coleman, died Monday at the Clare Nursing Home. He was born July 10, 1898, in Coleman.
He was married to Dorothy L. Moyer Sept. 5, 1931, in Angola, Ind. She died June 23, 1976.
Mr. Burns was a retired farmer and a past member of the Coleman Board of Education. He was a member of the board of directors of the Coleman Coop Creamery and a member of the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sheldon (Virginia) Sutherland, of Hudson, Ohio, and Mrs. Ernest (Alice) Slater, of Clare; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Hilda) Foster, of North Bradley, and Mrs. Herman (Jessie) Friedli, of Saginaw; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Coleman, with the Rev. Lyle Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman.
