Services for Glenn Broyles, 90. of Owenton Road, Frankfort, KY were held on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Perkins officiated the service. A graveside service was also held on Tuesday at the Broyles Cemetery in Rockholds, KY.
Mr. Broyles died on Friday at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg. A native of Rockholds in Whitley County, KY, Mr. Broyles was a contractor and owner/operator of Randall & Gray Construction. He was a charter member and Deacon of North Frankfort Baptist Church. He was the son of Charlie and Maude Gray Broyles.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Lillian Siler Burnette Broyles, daughter; Glena Broyles Buchanan, sisters; Blanche Rollins, Bessie Hart, Marie Rose, and brothers; Hugh, Ora and Clarence Broyles.
Survivors include (5) sons; Randy Broyles, Frankfort, Gray Broyles, Rockholds, KY, Sam and Larry Burnette, Frankfort, and Dan Burnette, Marietta, GA, (2) daughters; Charlene Sowder, Versailles, KY, and Sylvia Burnette, Seymour, IN, brother; Allen Broyles, Rockholds, KY, (14) grandchildren and (9) great grandchildren.
Bearers will be his grandsons; Jason Broyles, Stephen Burnette, Charlie Burnette, Will Burnette, Michael Burnette, and T. J. Gaines, Honorary bearers will be Johnny Wilhoite and deacons of the North Frankfort Baptist Church.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 209 Steele Street, Frankfort, KY or Franklin County senior Citizens Center.
