Marjorie Ruth Scruggs

HUGO, Okla. - Marjorie Ruth Scruggs, 79, of Fort Towson, Okla., died Wednesday, June 23, in Arlington, Texas.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, in Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Ward officiating. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery.

Mrs. Scruggs was born Feb. 13, 1914, in Fort Towson, a daughter of Pete and Hazel Kelly Davis. She married Durward Scruggs Aug. 9, 1942. He died in 1987.

Surviving are one son, Herbert (Sonny) Tate of Schertz, Texas; one daughter, Jean Gilliam of Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Joe Bob Davis of Orlando, Fla., Cotton Davis of Fort Towson and Sam Davis of Fort Towson; one sister, Lucye Murchison of Castro Valley, Calif.; eight grand children; and 17 great-grandchildren
