Robin T. "Rob" Jackson, Jr. 42, of Sandwich, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 10, 1967 in Sandwich the son of Robin "Terry" and Valerie J. (Whitlatch) Jackson.
He graduated from Sandwich High School in 1985. He was currently employed by Plano Post Office as a mail carrier. He enjoyed haning out with his best friends, Merlin, Neal, Duane and Deno watching the Bears, reading, writing, painting, fishing and most of all time with his son. He just completed remodeling his home after losing it in the flood of 2008.
He is survived by his son, Sebastian Jackson of London; his mother and step father, Valerie (Ray) Wainscott of Sandwich; his father, Terry Jackson, Sr. of Fairfield, Ill.; two sisters, Carrie (James) Miller of Earlville and Tiffany Wainscott of Sandwich; two nephews, Ryan and Brenten; two nieces, Amber and Madison; his maternal grandmother, Rose (Donald) Boggs of Parker, Ariz.; his paternal grandmother, Ann Dial of Sandwich; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Rob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Howard Whitlatch; paternal grandfather, John Robert Rosenberger and his great grandparents, Bart and Thelma Luttrell.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 at Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home with Rev. David Kaul officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a fund being established for his son.

Rob died when he lost control of his car on an icy road. My husband knew him through a mutal friend and said he was a caring guy who liked to have fun and be with his friends.
