BRADFORD - John J. Fenstermaker, 92, of Bradford, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at the Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville. John was born in Darke County on July 4, 1917, to the (late) John Earl and Daisy Amanda (Wion) Fenstermaker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Margaret H. Fenstermaker in 1988; two sisters, Iona Anthony and Lucille Baker; and two brothers, Lawrence Fenstermaker killed in active duty during World War II and Doyle Eugene Fenstermaker.
John is survived by his wife, Ruby K. (Miller) Brewer Fenstermaker; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lee and Ann Fenstermaker of Georgetown, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Barry of Wernersville, Penn.; four grandchildren, Mark Fenstermaker of Chicago, Ill., Brad and wife, Amanda Fenstermaker of Ringgold, Ga., Lori Barry of Bangor, Penn., Traci Barry of Wernersville, Penn.; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Fenstermaker, Korynne and Trey Fino; sister, Ruby Young of Greenville; extended family, Dave and wife, Amy Brewer and their family, Matt and Holly Kiser, Barry and Heather Lilley, Heath and Abby Brewer, Steve Seward and their families; other relatives and friends.
He was a farmer and had previously worked at the Pure Oil Bulk Plant for 10 years and Mobil Oil for nine years.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stocker-Fraley Funeral Home, Bradford with Rev. Larry Lavey and Lowell Miller officiating.
Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
