CREEL, IONA, age 86, of Dora, died September 1, 1997. She was a homemaker; member of Wegra Baptist Church and attended Dora 2nd Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 3, at 2 p.m. from New Horizon Memorial Chapel with burial in West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Creel, Sr. and her twin sister, Lovana Crowe.
Survivors: son, Lonnie Creel, Jr. and his wife, Paulette of Dora; grandsons, Greg Creel and wife, Charlotte of Bessemer; Ben Creel and wife, Rhonda of Dora; great grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Creel of Dora, Jennifer Creel of Millport. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home directing.
