John Allman Rucker

John Allman Rucker, 90, former superintendent of schools in Tioga and Aubrey, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at Baylor Hospital in Richardson.
Graveside services were held at 3 p. m., Friday, June 16, 1995, at the Pilot Point Community Cemetery with the Rev. Don Coke officiating. Burial was under the direction of Huff-Slay Funeral Home.
Mr. Rucker was born February 26, 1905, in Little Elm to John Sherman and Colene Gibbs Rucker. He married Gwenith McDonald August 22, 1930, in Pilot Point.
After leaving the Tioga and Aubrey schools, he moved to Irving, where he taught history and business. He retired from the Richardson School District, where he also taught history and business.
Mr. Rucker was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First Methodist Church in Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Gwenith of Richardson; daughter Jon Ann Rucker of Dallas; brother, Gibbs Rucker of Clovis, N.M.; and two sisters, Iola Nelson of Friona and Polly Whatley of Clovis, N.M.
