She was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Grant County, Ky., the daughter of Orla Andrew and Dora Lee Howard Hatcher. She attended Owen County High School in Owenton, Ky. She had resided in Madison since 1960 and had been employed for 20 years with Thrift Dollar Store. She also worked two years for Rite Aid and 20 years with Dieken's Bakery. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda K. Liter of Madison; one son, Charles Thomas Lathrem Jr. of Madison; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Lathrem, whom she married Jan. 29, 1948, and who died Nov. 23, 1986; her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Troxell and Frances Porter; and one brother, Eugene Hatcher.
The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
