Tony Wayne Eden, 50, of Hanover, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 10, 1959, in Madison, the son of Thomas C. and Betty Jean Smith Eden. He owned and operated the Eden Painting Company from 1998 to 2005. He enjoyed fishing, boating, restoration of vehicles and furniture and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cooper Eden, whom he married June 15, 1990; two daughters, Sara Eden of Madison and Kristy Eden of Dupont; two sons, Jason Eden of Dupont and Michael Eden of Hanover; two brothers, Teddy Eden of Madison and Donnie Brison of Jeffersonville; eight sisters, Laura Segrest of Madison, Tammie Riddell of Madison, Wanda Finney of Madison, Viola Stucker of Silsbe, Texas, Penny Beach of Warsaw, Ky., Rosie of Mississippi, Leta Eden of Chelsea and Charla Bear of Madison; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Roger Stucker; and one niece.

The funeral was at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Hibernia Cemetery in Hibernia.
