Norman Wilcox, 57, of Belding
Norman Wilcox 57, of rural Belding died Thursday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, following a long illness. He was born Jan. 29, 1919 in Hesperia, the son of Vern and Pauline Wilcox. He joined the former Sophia Folta in marriage March 8, 1945 at Montague. Mr. Wilcox served in the U.S. Army during World War II, being discharged in 1946. He then moved to Belding where he was self-employed for many years. He was a member of the Belding American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Sophia; mother, Mrs. Pauline Wilcox of Hesperia; two sisters: Mrs. Cleora Hornbrook of Hesperia, Mrs. Milo (Catherine) Stroven of Fremont; one brother, Richard Wilcox of Hesperia and several nieces and nephews. A rosary was said Sunday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held Monday at Christ the King Church in Hesperia with Fr. John Giamona, celebrant. Interment followed in St. Michael's Cemetery, Brunswick. Arrangements were by the Raymond Funeral Home, Hesperia.

Norman Wilcox 57, of rural Belding died Thursday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, following a long illness. He was born Jan. 29, 1919 in Hesperia, the son of Vern and Pauline Wilcox.
