CENTERVILLE--Eugene Smith Randall, age 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Dec. 10, 1993 following a lingering health problem.
He was born May 31, 1916, in Centerville, Utah to Elbert Eugene and Mabel Smith Randall. He graduated from Davis High School in 1934. Married Inez Heywood, Layton, Utah, January 24, 1934, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, November, 1954. He was a farmer, and worked at Remington Arms, owner operator of Randall Construction, worked as a real estate agent, later retired, member of the Centerville Planning and Zoning Commission, served on the Board of Directors of the Duel Creek Irrigation Company, President of the Centerville Lions Club, President and co-organizer of the Centerville Historical Society, Centerville Citizen of the Year, an active member of the LDS Church, where he served in many various positions, loved working in his orchard and garden and sharing his prize cantaloupe and honeydews, and tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife, Inez, Centerville; children: Elbert E. (Bert) Randall, St. George, Utah; Jan S. Randall, Spokane, Washington; Marque L. Randall, Farmington, Utah; Paula Dian Hauser, Jerome, Idaho; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Watkins, Othello, Washington; and Fern Bartholomew, Provo, Utah. Preceded in death by parents, and a sister Marjorie Moffitt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 13, 1993 at 2 p.m., at the Centerville 3rd Ward, 900 So. 400 East, Centerville. Friends may call Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m., at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Monday afternoon, at the church 12:45 -1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment: Centerville City Cemetery.
