Corrine Abbey Nockolds was the daughter of Walpole and Abigail Jane Priest of Oakley, Bexar County, Texas. She was only about 4 years old when both her parents died within 3 weeks of one another.

Her older brother, Stephen took the responsibility of caring for the children. Florence Nockolds DuBois took Corrine with her after she married and moved around the country with her soldier husband. Corrine was always with them on the US Census. They eventually settled in California.

On the 1920 census, Corrine, age 6, was living with her sister, Florence and brother-in-law, Bryon Dubois at Camp Stanley, Texas. Byron was in the army during WWI.

In 1930, age 16, she was with Florence and Byron Dubois and their children in Culver City, Los Angeles County, California.

The US Census for 1940 enumerates Corrine Baca with children Gloria Ann 8, Linda Lee 6, Betty Jean 2 and husband Ted Baca.

Another child, Theodore Baca. 21 November 1935 is not on the 1940 Census. Theodore died at age 6 months, May 31, 1936.
