Brenda was born on Nov. 2, 1949 to Wallace and Helen Allison in Haskell, Texas. After high school graduation, she became a hairdresser, and that was her life's passion for the next 40 years. Brenda met her soul mate, James Lee, and they were married on Aug. 28, 1980 in Rule, Texas.
Those left here to cherish her memories are her children, Craig Griggs and wife Connie of McCamey and Brooke Griggs of Lubbock; mother-in-law, Helen Allison of Rule; sister, Jan Briles and husband Art of Waco; brother, John Allison and wife Celinda of Odessa; and mother-in-law, Nadine Griggs. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Griggs, on Jan. 31, 1998.
To celebrate her life, we will have a visitation this evening at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. The service will be in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at 4 p.m.
In honor of Brenda, her family would like any remembrances of her to be in the form of donations, made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Society or VistaCare.
