Nathan Lee Thomas, lifelong resident of Nassau County, died at his home near Baldwin Saturday at the age of 77. He was a member of the Brandy Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine Motes Thomas; seven daughters, Minnie Mizell, Mrs. Rena Thomas and Mrs. Ethyl Crawford, all of Baldwin; Mrs. Lilly Vaughan, Mrs. Louise Herrington, Mrs. Villa Crawford and Mrs. Marie Herrington, all of Jacksonville; three sons, Arthur and Lacy Thomas, Baldwin, and Marion Thomas, Jacksonville; a brother Frank H. Thomas of Baldwin. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. today in the Brandy Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. C. E. Cutshaw will officiate, and burial will be in Brandy Branch Cemetery, under the direction of Key-McCabe Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ted Jones, Bryant Braddock, Raymond Eldison, P.S. Carter, Harley Higginbotham and Carl Cussion.
