"Minnie Crete Clem was born at Newman, Illinois, September 22, 1881, and departed this life on October 15, 1956, at Mooreland Hospital, aged 75 years and 23 days.

She moved with her family to Missouri when a child. In 1901, she came with her family to Dewey County, Oklahoma. On August 27, 1904, she was married to Albert Lee Clem. They made their home in Vici and vicinity continuously, with the exception of a short time in Enid and in Camargo where they were engaged in business. Mrs. Clem was a member of the Vici Christian Church and was a loyal and regular attendant until the time of her passing.

Since the death of her husband in 1947, Crete (as she was tenderly called by her many friends) has lived in Vici spending her entire time with her sister and with those about her whom she cherished so much. To know her was to love her. Her kindness, which was an outstanding characteristic of this lovely person, had endeared her to the hearts of all who knew her.

In passing she leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Mrs. Ina Irwin of Vici; three nieces, Mrs. Leota Bowman of Enid, Mrs. Grace Isenhart of Silt, Colo., and Mrs. Helen Reed of Long Beach, Calif.; two nephews, Russell Owen of California and Glen Alley of Colorado Springs; other dear ones and a host of friends."
