Bert was born January 27th 1926 in Wichita Falls to V.A. and Pearl Huff. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School and attended Hardin Jr. College and the University of Texas where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Bert served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II.

On September 9th, 1950 Bert married Jean Hedrick in Wichita Falls where they were blessed with a life together for 59 years. He and his mother began Huff Galleries in 1947. It was a business known and loved by the Wichita Falls area for 53 years.

Bert served the Lord and his community in many areas. He touched many lives with his spiritual encouragement and Christian witness. He was actively involved with bringing Young Life to Wichita Falls and was an active member of Floral Heights United Methodist Church. He also had a passion for the Billy Graham and Navigators ministries, the YMCA, Gideons, Faith Mission, Meals on Wheels, Prison Ministry, and evangelism to Russia. Bert loved his family dearly and was a great example to us all. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and their three children: Lecie Shelton and husband Thom of Dallas and children Luke and Anna Shelton; Jennifer Estes and husband Craig and children, Abby Cunningham and husband Robert and their son Holt Cunningham of Lexington, Kentucky, Andrew Estes and wife Summer of Dallas and Mark Estes of Atlanta; Bert Huff Jr. and wife Missy and their children Claire and Holly Huff; also one dear sister, Bette King of Tyler.
