Kokomo Daily Tribune - Monday, November 3, 1913:

In memory of Alfred Harvey Remy who was born in Franklin County, Indiana on December 12, 1846. When four years of age, he removed to Bartholomew County where he resided until 1888 when, with his family, he came to Kokomo which has since been his home. On November 8, 1866, he was united in marriage with Sarah Moore who survives him.

To them were born eleven children, ten of whom are now living:
John A. of Guthrie, Oklahoma
Earl of PIttsburgh, Pennsylvania
Mrs. Charles Stevenson of Indianapolis
Mrs. A. M. Wall of Memphis, Tennessee
Mrs. Charles Wise of Memphis, Tennessee
Clyde A. of Kokomo
Clarence T. of Kokomo
Walter E. of Kokomo
Mrs. Henry Martzolf of Kokomo
Mrs. Elmer Branchla of Kokomo
Another son, Thomas, died in Kokomo twelve years ago.

Mr. Remy united with the Howcreek Baptist Church in Bartholomew County when he was twenty years of age and soon became an active Christian man, serving as deacon and Sunday school superintendent for a number of years. While in Bartholomew County, he was a farmer. Since coming to Kokomo, he has been an active man in business circles, having been employed a large portion of the time with the Kokomo Hardware Company. Mr. Remy was a good husband and kind father and was highly respected by a large circle of friends who mourn his death.
