Kokomo Tribune - Monday, April 30, 1934:
John W. Martin, age 59, a resident of Kokomo until three years ago, died at 11:15 o'clock Monday morning at his home near Logansport. Heart trouble was the cause of death which came after a week's illness. Until moving to Logansport, Mr. Martin was Superintendent of the Kokomo Brick Yard.
The widow survives with six children: Ben, John, and Dick Martin and Mrs. Lester Lewis of Kokomo; and Tom and Mrs. Mildred Drummond at home. There are six brothers and three sisters: Lake V. and Vaughn Martin of Kokomo; David of West Middleton; Charles of Bass Lake; Sam of Hemlock; Strother of Indianapolis; Mrs. Sarah Neff of Russiaville; Mrs. Maud Harris of Umatilla, Florida; and Mrs. Elizabeth Lines of Shelbyville.
The body will be brought to Kokomo for burial, but no arrangements for the funeral have been made.
