Banta were married. She was born 5 Second Month 1851in Bartholomew County, Indiana, the daughter of James and Emily Banta. Elwood Hockett died 4 Sixth Month 1940. They are both buried in Kokomo, Indiana. Elwood and Mabel Banta Hockett had two children, both born in Howard county, Indiana: Jessie (6 Third Month 1875-15 Fifth Month 1918) and Glen A. (23 Second month 1885-16 Fourth month 1939)."
